If you do come face to face with an intruder, how you defend yourself can vary. If you have a handgun, and are comfortable using it, then you can use the weapon to defend yourself. If using a gun, it is a good idea to position yourself at the point farthest from the intruder so that you have more time to take your shot. Keep in mind that going face to face against an intruder can be a dangerous thing to do. While not all intruders are violent, some of them can be. Items in your home can be replaced but your life cannot be replaced.
